I sure am! I am a part of the American Bladesmith Society.

What's that? The American Bladesmith Society, Inc. was incorporated as a non-profit corporation to operate for educational, scientific, and charitable purposes. The American Bladesmith Society was formed primarily to encourage and promote activities involving the art and science of forging metal, particularly tools, weapons, and art forms. The objectives of the educational programs of the American Bladesmith Society are to inform and educate knife makers and the public about the art, science, technology, history, and culture relating to forged edged tools, weapons, and artifacts, and the proper care and use of these objects.

After you place your order I jump with joy! I'll contact you if I have any questions about the order (I contact about all custom orders). Then your order goes into a queue. Once your order is up I take the metal that has been forged (for Damascus) or a billet (for high carbon) and I shape your blade to perfection. After that comes the initial grinding into shape, then the fun part, heat treating. This process takes a long time, but when I'm finished your blade will have been hardened; that means your edge will stay for a very long time. After that I do post heat treating processing for Damascus to bring out all the beautiful lines you see. For high carbon, I get straight to the polishing belts. After I'm happy with the blade I start on the scales. These come from hand selected pieces of wood. I shape your scales and fit the blade. Then I get to the sharpening stones and I sharpen your brand new blade to 12k grit to ensure a smooth shave. Finally, I rub your blade with a tufcloth to ward off any rust and I ship it to you with eagerness, this is truly my passion.
